About us
Who are we?
PALM (Preparing Arab-world Leaders for Ministry) is a ministry of Pioneers, serving the Arab world and beyond by equipping believers and leaders through discipleship and leadership training. We are a geographically dispersed team representing multiple nationalities—including believers from a Muslim background—united in one vision: to see mature, multiplying churches across the Arab World and beyond.
Why PALM?
Equipping Local Leadership Is Urgent
Healthy, multiplying churches require trained local leaders. But in many places:
- Formal training institutions do not exist
- Emerging leaders cannot safely travel abroad for theological education
- Sending them abroad often leads to permanent loss of leaders
- Believers frequently come from oral cultures, requiring adapted training methods
- Peer support and fellowship are limited or non-existent
Without trained leaders, new believers remain vulnerable, and new churches struggle to take root.
PALM’s Strategic Initiatives
In-country, contextualised training
We bring training directly to believers in their own environments, strengthening churches from within.
Self-Replicating Training Model
Modelling after 2 Timothy 2:2, our training is intentionally designed to reproduce itself. We equip facilitators who, in turn, train others—creating a chain of local leaders who can grow and multiply even in unstable or high-pressure environments.
A Tailor-made Multi-level and Multi-lingual Curriculum
Developed over years in collaboration with BMBs, our curriculum provides foundational discipleship for new believers as well as advanced training for emerging house church leaders. (See below)
Orality: Bible and Theological Training for Oral Learners
Our orality program makes Scripture and training accessible to non-literate believers, enabling them not only to grow in knowledge but also be equipped to lead and disciple others.
Training
To help achieve our mission, we train and mentor discipleship group leaders and church leaders so that they in turn will train others (2 Timothy 2:2).
We offer an inductive curriculum specifically written for believers from a Muslim background enabling new believers to be discipled to spiritual maturity and leaders to be equipped for ministry, where they live and serve. The curriculum consists of three different programs:
1) Level 1, discipleship for new believers;
2) Level 1 Orality Version, which is for primary oral learners;
3) Level 2, which is more advanced biblical and theological training for leaders serving in the local body or future leaders.

Our goal is to ensure that believers from every background—whether literate or oral—can study, grow, and lead in the language that speaks most deeply to their heart.
Currently available in: Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu, Kabyle, Hausa, Swahili
Languages in development: Tachelhit, Chaoui, Nfusi, Wolof, Pulaar / Fulani, Chadian Arabic
